The news that Chris Evans is going to play Steve Rogers (aka the Captain) in The First Avenger: Captain America sounds official now. 
I am unimpressed. Ironically enough, a poll on IMDB.com shows that either people don’t care at all or are mildly intrigued. He ruined Johnny Storm for me, I don’t think I need him to try his hand at another superhero. Also, how come Captain America is partially cast while the long-awaited Flash movie is still on and off with directors? Not fair.
So now I think the tally is as follows: we’ve got Iron 
Man, Captain America, Nick Fury, and Thor all cast (maybe even The Hulk if Edward Norton stays on board). Logan Lerman is rumored to play the new Spidey, but that may change. Personally, give me Hawkeye and I’m set. Over in DC land we’ve got Green Lantern…and that’s it. They’re a little slow, I guess? Do not fear
–Batman and Superman are coming back (thank Moses someone is going to reboot the Man of Steel) and there will be a Wonder Woman, a Shazam, and a Justice League to satisfy.

Excuse the CAPS, I’m excited. Even though I had to watch it a couple of times before I fell in love with it, I’m totally backing up a sequel. Justin Theroux (who cries beautifully in The Baxter and wrote the screenplay for Iron Man 2) is going to direct. I’m so pumped. Read more!
